Biography

Annie Billings White is a former federal circuit court clerk, large law firm litigator, and legislative counsel to a United States Senator. After taking time off from her professional life to raise her family, Annie has joined the Pearman Law firm as an Estate Planning and Estate Administration Attorney.

Annie's personal experiences with handling the administration of her parents' estates steered her decision to work in the field of estate planning and probate administration when returning to the practice of law. She enjoys sitting down with clients of all ages and income ranges to develop an estate plan to fit their specific and unique needs. Annie also assists clients in walking through the estate administration process after the death of a loved one. This process can be difficult for clients and Annie's calm and steady approach allows the client to have peace of mind.

Annie is a native of southwest Missouri. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1991, she was a law clerk for the Honorable John R. Gibson, a Circuit Court Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit, based in Kansas City. After her clerkship she joined the firm of Suelthaus & Walsh (now Polsinelli, PC) in St. Louis, where she practiced in the area of general civil and business litigation. Annie also has an extensive background in trial and appellate work.

In 1995, Annie moved to Washington, D.C. to work as a legislative counsel for U.S. Senator John Ashcroft of Missouri. In 2001, she became Assistant Director for Congressional Affairs for the American Medical Association. Annie then returned to the Senate to serve as legislative counsel for the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.

Annie and her husband Brady moved to Colorado in 2004, and they had their son Zach in 2005. While raising her son, Annie taught private guitar and piano lessons in her home studio, and also mentored middle school students in music at her church. She also served as a vocalist, guitarist, and worship leader at her church. Annie enjoyed the privilege of homeschooling her son for three and a half years.

In addition to pursuing her passion for music and law, Annie loves hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, fly fishing, and camping. She enjoys serving as a life coach, mentor, and encourager to younger women.
